Standard Edge Restraints
Green Roof Solutions’ edge restraints is the frame for your green roof project. We manufacture a wide range of edging to retain green roof systems and properly trim and detail roof penetrations. GRS edging is  extensively field-tested and has proven effective in promoting proper drainage for your extensive or intensive green roof system. Our edge restraints are bent at a 90-degree angle (custom angles are possible for sloped applications) with slots on the vertical leg to provide lateral drainage. The slots come all the way to the bottom of the angle to facilitate any level of moisture and promote drainage in any storm event. The “L” shape ensures that there are no sharp corners on the roof membrane. Our high-strength materials are lightweight, long-lasting, and easy to assemble. We provide edging in both straight and flexible contour cuts to suit your design needs.
Our standard edging comes in 8′ lengths and is .10″ thick 5052 aluminum. We also offer custom edging in various alloys, thicknesses, and colors. We can provide different gauges of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and Corten steel. We offer a full line of epoxy powder coating or hard anodizing on all edging products. The slots are designed for a calculated flow rate of 26 gallons per minute (gpm) given a 1″ storm event. All components meet or exceed the flow rate standards set by FLL and ASTM.
Standard sizes for the GRS edge restraints are 3″ tall up to 8.5″ tall in 0.5″ increments.
Custom Edging
Custom edging is available in stainless steel, laser cut, copper, powder coat, Corten steel, anodized aluminum, torch down, and PVC coated.
